Diagnostic Laparoscopy & Hysteroscopy

Diagnostic Laparoscopy is a surgical procedure that involves making small incisions in the abdomen through which a laparoscope—a thin, lighted tube with a camera—is inserted. This allows our skilled surgeons to directly visualize the abdominal and pelvic organs, including the uterus, fallopian tubes, and ovaries. Laparoscopy is commonly used to investigate causes of pelvic pain, infertility, or abnormal bleeding, and can help diagnose conditions such as endometriosis, ovarian cysts, fibroids, and ectopic pregnancies.

Hysteroscopy involves inserting a hysteroscope—a slender, lighted instrument—through the cervix into the uterus. This procedure allows for a detailed examination of the uterine cavity and is particularly useful for diagnosing abnormalities such as polyps, fibroids, adhesions, and structural anomalies. It can also be used to investigate the causes of abnormal uterine bleeding or infertility.
